The People and Experience behind FM BENCHMARKING

Both best practices and the data fields that have been identified by FM BENCHMARKING have been used by Facility Issues for over ten years. Facility Issues is a leading international benchmarking company, and has worked with many organizations in this capacity, including most of the Fortune 500 companies as well as the International Facility Management Association's (IFMA's) Utility Council.

The Principals of FM BENCHMARKING are Peter S. Kimmel and Keith J. McClanahan.

Peter S. Kimmel, AIA, IFMA Fellow is Publisher of FMLink, the leading online information resource for facilities managers. He also is a former facilities manager and top-automation consultant. Kimmel's background has given him unique insight into not just facilities management operations, but knowledge of what it takes to provide an automation solution that is robust and easy-to-use. Kimmel's experience with FMLink has enabled him to translate his automation experience onto the Web. Over the past 12 months, FMLink was visited by over 600,000 unique individuals; many of these are expected to become subscribers to FM BENCHMARKING, increasing the size of its building database greatly.
Keith J. McClanahan, PE, RPA is a facilities consultant and Principal of Facility Issues. His engineering background, when coupled with the benchmarking experience gained at Facility Issues, adds a key ingredient to the technical expertise of FM BENCHMARKING. His international work allows him to see differences in benchmarking practices around the globe, making FM BENCHMARKING a valuable tool to facilities managers everywhere.
